2019 Canadian Film Festival Award Winners

THE DANCING DOGS OF DOMBROVA AND TERMINALLY IN LOVE TAKE TOP PRIZES AT THE 2019CANADIAN FILM FEST

WOLVES UNLEASHED – AGAINST ALL ODDS WINS PEOPLE’S PICK FOR BEST FLICK

Toronto, ON – The 13th edition of the Canadian Film Fest (CFF) closed on Saturday, March 23rd at the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto by announcing the 2019 winners. Top honours went to Zack Bernbaum’s The Dancing Dogs of Dombrova, which was won Best Feature and DGC Ontario’s Best Director awards and Terminally in Love, directed by Emily Jenkins and Justin Black, which won Best Short and ReTAKE Furniture Rentals’ Best Set and Production Design. Rama Rau’s Honey Bee received the William F. White Reel Canadian Indie Award, and Andrew Simpson’s Wolves Unleashed – Against All Odds took home People’s Pick for Best Flick.

“We’re so proud of the level of talent at this year’s Fest,” said Bern Euler, Executive Director, Canadian Film Fest. “There is always a buzzing excitement in the theatre and the sold out screenings are a testament to the dedicated movie-goers who can’t wait to see the next best Canadian indie films on the big screen.”
