Call for Entries – The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival

The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival (September 19-21) is a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing the emerging talent of screenwriters and independent filmmakers within the idyllic setting of Big Bear Lake. Our goal is to nurture a festival that is highly creative, filmmaker friendly and which provides an educational experience for those people interested in all aspects of the film industry

The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival is committed to providing a truly exceptional experience for independent filmmakers and enthusiasts alike. Our proximity to Los Angeles and Hollywood allows opportunities for professionals in the Film, Television, and Entertainment industries to access up-and-coming independent work in a relaxed and idyllic setting.

Feature Film
Independent Feature Films without Distribution.

Documentary Short
Independent Documentary Short Subject films without Distribution. We screen over 25 documentaries each year.

Short Film
We have a strong short subject film competition and screen over 80 short films during the weekend. We provide Jury and Audience Awards.

Animation
We love animation and give out two Animation awards!

Family Films
We have a special Family Film Jury Award and welcome submissions for youth audiences and for the whole family to attend.

Documentary Feature
Documentaries 40 minutes in length or more.

Student Film
Big Bear Lake International Film Festival supports student filmmakers. Both College students and High School Students. High School students have their own High School Award Category.
