Cineplex Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary of Classic Film Series – Free Screenings of Hitchcock Classic REAR WINDOW

Toronto – Alfred Hitchcock’s wicked and mesmerizing thriller Rear Window kicks off the fifth anniversary celebrations for Cineplex’s Classic Film Series.

Two free screenings will take place on September 13 and 21, 2015. Tickets are now available in-person only at participating theatre box offices.

The Classic Film Series provides fans the opportunity to see their favourite movies on the big screen – often for the first time!

In addition to the free screenings, every month Cineplex will present an acclaimed and must see classic movie, including one of the greatest in American cinema Mr. Smith Goes to Washington starring Jimmy Stewart (October) the definitive Frank Sinatra musical Pal Joey in honour of Sinatra’s centennial (November); the beloved holiday tradition It’s a Wonderful Life(December); and the charming Billy Wilder romantic comedy Sabrina starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart and William Holden (January).

“Five years ago we launched this series with an undisputed masterpiece, Casablanca, and ever since have presented films that have stood the test of time and continue to surprise and inspire film lovers of all ages,” said Brad LaDouceur, Vice President, Event Cinema, Cineplex Entertainment. “I highly encourage everyone to catch these classics on the big screen as they were meant to be seen.”
