At a time when both our personal lives and the public sphere have been invaded by social media, certain people literally spend their days being observed by countless strangers. Such is the case for Shiori, 17-year-old host of a blogcast in which she not only showcases her Gothic Lolita style but also shares her deepest secrets with her viewers. She dreams of becoming a star and is taking steps to make it happen, whether it’s employing the services of a sleazy agent who only gets her degrading gigs, or distributing pamphlets during special events in the hopes of being discovered. It is during the latter that she meets Ayumi, a shy teenage fan who aspires to look like her.
