Images Festival Seeking Interim Executive Director

North America’s largest exhibitor of independent and experimental moving image culture is currently seeking an Interim Executive Director. The person in this position will work in a collaborative environment to plan and execute a successful 2017 and 2018 festival involving multiple exhibition sites and events, and public, corporate and community partners. This is a year-round position reporting to the Board of Directors. Images is a dynamic workplace and annual forum for excellence and innovation in contemporary media art. This year’s 30th anniversary festival will be held from April 20 to 29th.

Position Summary:
The Interim Executive Director of the Images Festival provides leadership to staff and volunteers in managing all operations and affairs of the festival and fulfilling the mandate of the organization. The ED administers the general operations of the organization under the direction of the Board of Directors in a way that is consistent with approved goals, objectives and policies.

Qualifications:
– Minimum 5-years experience managing an arts or culture-related organization/corporation;
– Knowledge of not for profit arts sector, public granting processes, operational planning, human resources, financial management, development, fundraising, public relations, and community outreach is required.

This position is a maternity leave contract and entails working 35 hours per week from Feburary 2017 to June 2018.
