The 2016 Sundance Film Festival will be taking place from January 21 – 31 in Park City, Utah as always. They have announced all the films that will be screening during the 10 day smorgisbord of independent film in the many different categories and programs. Their will be several World Premieres in the Feature and Documentary Sections as well as 72 short films.

FEATURE PREMIERES
A showcase of world premieres of some of the most highly anticipated narrative films of the coming year.

DOCUMENTARY PREMIERES
Renowned filmmakers and films about far-reaching subjects comprise this section highlighting our ongoing commitment to documentaries.

SPOTLIGHT
Regardless of where these films have played throughout the world, the Spotlight program is a tribute to the cinema we love.

MIDNIGHT
From horror flicks to bizarre comedies to works that defy any genre.

NEW FRONTIER
This program focuses on the crossroads of film, art and media technology as a hotbed for innovation, showcasing new media work and panels.

SUNDANCE KIDS
This section of the Festival is especially for our youngest independent film fans. Programmed in cooperation with Utah Film Center which presents the annual Tumbleweeds Film Festival, Utah’s premiere film festival for children and youth.

SPECIAL EVENTS
One-of-a-kind moments highlighting new independent works that add to the unique Festival experience. An evolving section, this year includes episodic work, short films and live post-screening discussions.

SHORTS
72 short films will showcased in this category from filmmakers all over the world.
