Opening Night – Thursday, July 9 @ 8pm

The 32nd Annual Jerusalem Film Festival will open with Nanni Moretti’s Mia Madre (My Mother). The film stars John Turturro who will be in attendance for the screening as well as a conversation after the film.

Synopsis:

Margherita, a famous Italian director, is in the midst of her new film and is attempting to contend with the main actor (John Turturro) – an annoying yet charming American with a perchance for exaggeration. Alongside the pressures on set, she must also deal with her hospitalized mother’s deteriorating health and her adolescent daughter.
