The picture is based on a true story that took place in 1996, when two different expeditions, one led by Scott Fischer and the other one by Rob Hall, face an exceptionally fierce snowstorm while striving to reach the top of the world’s tallest mountain. The climbers need to overcome nearly impossible obstacles in order to survive.
