Toronto International Deaf Film and Arts Festival celebrates emerging “Deaf Cinema” through the visual medium. We are thrilled to show the work of talented Canadian and international Deaf, deaf, hard of hearing, deafened, Deaf Blind filmmakers and artists as well as those who produce works in collaboration with the Deaf and hearing community.

TIDFAF kicks off with a celebration of Canadian Art Exhibits welcoming Filmmakers, Artists, VIP & Sponsors at SIGNS Restaurant (558 Yonge St) on May 27th from 6pm until 9pm, in which media are invited for coverage and interview opportunities. Industry workshop held at Loft404 on Thursday May 28th from 10am-2pm, sponsored by ACTRA and ACTRA Toronto!

The Opening Night Gala and Film Screening on May 28th hosted at The Royal theatre (608 College St), will be co presented by TIDFAF and the Goethe-Institut and are proud to announce the premier of the German documentary DIE MAUER (THE WALL) co-directed by Mark Berry and Benedikt J. Feldmann. Doors open at 6pm!
