Video Services Corp (VSC) and Film Movement inked a two-year multi-platform Canadian distribution deal, to start immediately. VSC will be exclusively distributing Film Movement releases in Canada theatrically, on DVD and VOD.

“Film Movement has been bringing quality foreign and art films to the US and we’re excited to help introduce them to Canadian audiences.” said VSC President, Jonathan Gross. “The Film Movement team has a lot of experience finding and releasing movies that resonate with film fans.”

In addition to releasing Film Movement’s catalogue product, the deal starts off with the August DVD release of Ilo Ilo, a drama set in Singapore during the 1997 Asian financial crisis that was an official selection of the Toronto and Vancouver International Film Festivals and won the Camera D’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Upcoming releases include TIFF Special Presentation Cannibal, French romantic drama For a Woman and the action thriller APP.
