We are proud to announce Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) will close its 19th edition in East Hampton with The Weinstein Company’s THE ARTIST. The Festival’s Southampton venue will kick off Saturday, October 15 with the East Coast premiere of BUTTER. They will join our previously announced Opening Night Film, Mark and Jay Duplass’ JEFF, WHO LIVES AT HOME, and our Centerpiece Film, Drake Doremus’ LIKE CRAZY, as HIFF’s gala presentations.

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE

* Our slate of Spotlight Films include: ANOTHER HAPPY DAY, COLLABORATOR, CORIOLANUS, THE GOOD DOCTOR, MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE, MELANCHOLIA, ORANGES AND SUNSHINE, PINA (in 3D), THE RUM DIARY, THINK OF ME, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN, and THE WOMAN IN THE FIFTH.

* The 12th year of the Films of Conflict & Resolution Program, a 7-film sidebar of films dealing with the realities of war, violence and crucial social issues around the world.

* The Festival celebrates our new partnership with the Perugia International Film Festival with our sidebar of Italian films Per Piacere: Italian Cinema. CORPO CELESTE, A QUIET LIFE, RETURN TO THE AEOLIAN ISLANDS, SUL MARE, WE HAVE A POPE, and THE WHOLLY FAMILY.

* Additionally, the Festival continues its Conversations With… series, our Breakthrough Performers program, and selections of films by Long Island filmmakers in its longstanding View From Long Island section.
