The Woodstock Film Festival is happy to announce that it will be hosting its first Spirit of Woodstock Celebration on Saturday, July 9 at 7pm. This summer gala will honor Woodstock’s own Michael Lang, one of the founding producers of the 1969 Woodstock Art and Music Festival. It will begin a series of annual events along the Hudson River; each celebrating film, music and art, while benefiting the Woodstock Film Festival.
The evening will take place in a penthouse loft overlooking the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and a creative, fun dinner will be generously provided by celebrity caterer Mary Giuliani.
Musician Tracy Bonham will perform and **JUST ADDED: Singer Songwriter John Sebastian to perform! His group The Lovin’ Spoonful played a major role in the mid-’60s rock revolution, You know the songs by heart: Do You Believe In Magic? and Summer In The City. John’s induction into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 certainly didn’t slow him down. Whether the stage is at Carnegie Hall or a folk festival in some far-flung locale, John is still out there spreading his gospel of American roots music.
