9th ANNUAL REEL SPIRIT SHOWCASE

The 2014 Reel Spirit Young Filmmaker Showcase will be held on Saturday April 5, 2014 at the Alamo Drafthouse Mainstreet

The Reel Spirit Young Filmmaker Showcase is now accepting entries for the 2014 film contest for filmmakers grades 2-12! The top entries in each category of every division will be invited to the showcase on April 5, 2014 to share their film on the big screen at a premier venue, the Alamo Drafthouse Theatre on Mainstreet, in Kansas City, Missouri. At the Reel Spirit Showcase, winning filmmakers receive certificates and “Oscar” style trophies along with the full “red carpet” treatment. Young filmmakers will also have the opportunity to participate in media workshops presented by local distinguished filmmakers and professionals. Grab your camera and start now!

Kansas City FilmFest 2014 is seeking great features, documentaries, short films, animation, student, experimental and web series for the 18th annual Festival.

The Kansas City FilmFest will be celebrating its 18th year with a special animation emphasis, Animation Inside Out and new category, Web Series-Heartland.
