Sofía, a school teacher, has been trying to adopt a child for many years. There are long waiting lists and somehow she is always rejected. When she reads in a local newspaper that a baby has been found dead in a landfill, she becomes obsessed with the fate of the dead child, who according to the law has no rights; the baby may neither be named nor buried. Thus Sofía begins a legal battle to bury the child she calls ‘Aurora’.
