Following a successful run in the international film circuit, Syndicado is pleased to announce that in co-operation with Java Films, the acclaimed documentary GMO OMG is being released theatrically in Canada and on digital platforms internationally.

The film was awarded Best Documentary honours at the Berkshire International Film Festival in 2013 and will play at The Royal Cinema in Toronto for a week beginning July 25, 2014 at 7pm before moving on to other cinemas across Canada.

GMO OMG places filmmaker and parent Jeremy Seifert in the role of detective as he wades his was through the food industry and explores the world of genetically modified organisms, exposing the industry standards and creating a critical dialogue.

President of Syndicado Greg Rubidge says “I first saw GMO OMG at the Berlin Film Festival in 2013 and changed the way I looked at food and our food sources. We’re delighted to be working on such an eye opening film, which marks our first theatrical release in Canada, in addition to our ongoing international VOD distribution slate”.

GMO OMG is playing at The Royal Cinema and runs from July 25-31, 2014. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors and can be bought through The Royal Cinema’s website.
