His director credits include Boytsovskiy Sryv (2016) and the sports drama Pitch (2016) — which focusses on a Russian street footballer in an uncompromising tournament. With On the Edge, Bordukov returns to the genre, showcasing the internal and external struggles of saber-fencers.
