Soirée Française: FETE DU CINEMA

Celebrate the Holiday Season with Flickers and the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) at the Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket, RI for the Soirée Française: FETE DU CINEMA on Thursday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m. It’s a trip back home for RIIFF since the Festival evolved from the popular and memorable cultural event: Jubilé Franco Américain. Flickers created that event in 1995 and from it sprang the Rhode Island International Film Festival, which is now in its 18th year.

The Party will help raise needed funds for the community outreach and educational programs the Festival undertakes throughout the year across the New England region. Since Flickers is a 501c(3) non-profit organization, tickets and donations are deductible as allowed by law.

Guests are invited to raise a toast; sample exquisite gourmet desserts courtesy of Russell Morin Fine Catering; listen to seasonal French music my harpist, Shelley Otis; mingle with friends; and of course, share memories of the Festival. Guests will discover some of the amazing new films that we’ll be screening in 2014 and learn which … films from this year are on the Oscar® Shortlist for the Academy Awards next March 2nd. Additionally, all guests will receive a ticket to next year’s Film Festival in August and will be entered in a free raffle for a full Festival pass worth $250.
