The Academy & First Weekend Club have joined forces to create a national mobile resource to make it simple for Canadians to find Canadian films.

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television has joined forces with First Weekend Club to create a national Canadian movie listings guide which is easily accessible through both organizations’ websites.

“Easier access to Canadian films is our goal and this partnership with the First Weekend Club is a big step in that direction,” says Academy CEO Helga Stephenson.

“This symbiotic partnership between First Weekend Club and the Academy makes sense,” adds Anita Adams, Executive Director of First Weekend Club. “Both organizations work hard to promote Canadian films and talent. By joining forces for the greater good of Canadian film, we will be able to stretch our resources further, reach more people from coast to coast, and ultimately help audiences discover more great Canadian films.”
