The Whistler Film Festival is proud to announce that the English Canadian Premiere of 2 Frogs In The West, directed by Quebecois filmmaker Dany Papineau will be closing the 10th anniversary Festival on December 5, 2010. Produced by Jacques Roiseux, and starring Mirianne Brûlé, Dany Papineau, Jessica Malka, Germain Houde, Diane Lavallee, and Anik Vermette, this coming-of-age film follows a young French-Canadian girl (Brûlé) on her quest to find happiness and ultimately discover herself on her journey across Canada. Marie’s journey takes her to Whistler, B.C. where she meets other young liked-minded people, including Jean-François Laforest (Papineau), who is also a little lost. There, amidst the backdrop of a town notorious for big mountains and self-indulgence, she begins to question herself and everything she stands for as she embraces the Whistler dream.

Papineau’s debut feature film, 2 Frogs In The West is eligible for the Mountain Culture Award.
