Synopsis:

Who would have thought that the story behind the creation of the Israeli Air Force is more exciting than anything Hollywood could have imagined? Director Roberta Grossman (Hava Nagila: The Movie) honours the Jewish World War II pilots, mostly from America, who volunteered to fight for Israel in the War of Independence. Above and Beyond offers a portrait of determined young men as their lives and sense of themselves as Jews gets changed forever. An intelligent, funny and enormously entertaining film featuring an unforgettable cast of characters.
